NRL's Rookie of the Year from 2015, Jack Bird has signed a new deal that will keep him at the Cronulla Sharks until the end of the 2017 season.
Bird made his debut last season for Cronulla and did not miss a game for the rest of the season.
Despite playing all season in the five eighth position, it has been touted that Bird could re-locate to the centres or even at full-back.
"I always knew I was going to sign here, I just didn’t know when," Bird told sharks.com.au.
"I'm pretty excited about the year ahead and happy to announce I'll be in the black, white and blue for the next two years."
